By the time he began earning recognition for his recordings, blues singer and guitarist Ian Siegal had already been active in the scene for several years. After supporting Billy Wyman's Rhym Kings on two consecutive tours, Siegal earned acclaim for his 2005 recording, Meat & Potatoes. He slowly assembled his own supporting band and released his fifth record, Broadside, which featured bassist Andy Graham and drummer Nikolaj Bjerre, in 2009.
