Les Fourberies de Scapin, literally Scapin's Deceits), is a three-act comedy written by the French playwright, Molière. The opening night performance of the play was in May, 24th, 1671, in the theater of the Palais-Royal, in Paris. Even though at the beginning the play wasn't a success, it's now translated into many different languages. This comedy talks about two men, Octave and Léandre. During their father's absence, Octave has secretly married with a young poor girl without relatives, Hyacinthe and Léandre, is fallen in love with an Egyptian girl, Zerbinette. The two men frightened by their fathers return, beg the help of the servant Scapin. The play is full of many tricks and lies, where each characters hide something.
