O'Brother

O'Brother is an indie rock band based out of the Atlanta, Georgia area. The five-piece creates dense and heavy music that has traces of both metal and experimental rock. Ultimately, however, O'Brother's music is defined by an attention paid to emotional dynamic shifts that has garnered comparisons to bands such as Mogwai and Explosions in the Sky. The group uses drastic, sometimes jarringly sudden transitions to change from hushed buildups full of shimmering guitar work to booming, cathartic displays of distorted wall-of-sound post rock. O'Brother's debut EP, The Death of Day, was released in 2009.
