Deep Fried 5

Deep Fried 5 is a funk/soul band from Brentwood, Tennessee that is beginning to lead a resurgence of sorts in the public's interest in hearing music from the fabled golden age of funk and soul. Following numerous line up changes since forming, the band finally settled upon a steady quintet of players in 2009, hence the "5" in the band's name. Since releasing its debut album Saturday Night Funk, Sunday Morning Soul in 2010, Deep Fried 5 is already beginning to see their fan base expand throughout Nashville and its surrounding areas, leading many to believe that the up-and-coming band might be bringing the genre back to the mainstream.
