Solvents is an indie folk rock project from the Seattle area. With its folksy arrangements and indie pop sensibilities, the band's sound is reminiscent of modern indie rock bands such as the Decemberists that are also fusing modern sounds with a classicist approach. Just three basic elements (acoustic guitar, drums and violin) combine to form Solvents' music, giving it a very sparse feel that manages to do a lot with a very little. Jarrod Paul Bramson's versatile voice, at times strong and at others wavering, is a crucial component of the group's sound and has helped the band develop a core following in the Seattle music scene.
