Katey Red (also known as Kenyon Carter) is a hip-hop/rap artist from New Orleans, Louisiana who is universally recognized for almost single-handedly bringing the peculiar genre of "sissy" rap to national prominence. He was inducted into the limelight in 2000 with the release of his debut album, Y2Katey: The Millennium Sissy, which Katey felt would bring rap to the often unfairly overlooked female and homosexual market. Openly homosexual himself, the cross-dressing rapper Katey Red has already been highlighted by national publications such as the New York Times for his bravery and skills as an artist.
