Andy Friedman is an alternative country/rock singer/songwriter from Brooklyn, New York who is no stranger to the praises of music publications that celebrate Friedman as being "perhaps the finest singer/songwriter in the borough." Friedman's style has been described as dark and acerbic, almost in the style of a New Yorker gag cartoon, and aims to please his more intellectual listeners without sacrificing the down-home "rootsiness" of his songs. Following-up the somewhat lackluster release of his debut album with an almost universally-acclaimed second outing in 2009, it didn't take Andy Friedman much time at all to become one of Brooklyn's most respected troubadours.
