Ashtar Command is an American music duo that has received a good amount of attention by selling its songs for use in commercials, television programs and movies. The group released its debut EP, Love Songs in Advance of the Landing, in 2008 and though it failed to mount an serious commercial success or critical laudation, it did manage to grab the gaze of marketers who were looking for music to round out commercials and previews for tv shows and films. The group's music changes drastically from song to song--varying from downtempo electronica to mellow indie folk--and as the group continues to try and find a proper fan base for its music, it'll undoubtedly continue to produce interesting and memorable songs.
