Maryland is an indie power pop band from Vigo, Spain that proclaims itself as a band apart from others, as its five members consciously try their hardest to deviate as far from the norm as possible. Whether or not their attempts will result in a style of music that will change the genre forever remains to be seen, however, Maryland's success at putting on a first-class power pop performance is an undisputed fact among its many fans throughout Spain. Consistently considered to be a crowd favorite, Maryland is also beginning to see some exposure and acclaim outside of its home country as a result of its success at various international music festivals and competitions.
