David's Lyre is an English indie rock band from London, England. Formed in 2008, the band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist David Morris, bassist and backing vocalist Tom Morris, and drummer and backing vocalist Joe Morris. The band has released three studio albums, 'The Sleep of Reason' (2009), 'The Union' (2011), and 'The Great Unknown' (2014). David's Lyre's music is characterized by its melodic, guitar-driven sound, with Morris' distinctive vocals and thoughtful lyrics. Their debut album, 'The Sleep of Reason', was critically acclaimed and earned them a nomination for the Mercury Prize. The band's second album, 'The Union', was released to further critical acclaim and was followed by a successful tour. Their third album, 'The Great Unknown', was released in 2014 and featured a more expansive sound, with the band experimenting with different instruments and sounds. David's Lyre has toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe, and has performed at numerous festivals, including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, and Bestival. They have also supported acts such as The National, The Vaccines, and The Maccabees. With their unique sound and thoughtful lyrics, David's Lyre has become one of the most beloved indie rock bands of the past decade.
