Engineers are an English post-rock band from Brighton, England. Formed in 2005, the band consists of Simon Phipps (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Mark Peters (bass, guitar, keyboards), Dan MacBean (drums, percussion) and Ulrich Schnauss (keyboards, programming). The band has released four studio albums, the most recent being Always Returning in 2014. Engineers’ music is a blend of post-rock, shoegaze, and electronica. Their sound is characterized by lush, dreamy soundscapes, intricate guitar work, and ethereal vocals. Their debut album, Engineers, was released in 2005 and was met with critical acclaim.
