London-based group The Midnight Beast formed in 2009 and immediately garnered international attention with its Youtube video parody of Ke$ha's song "Tik Tok." As the young trio continued to post its versions of popular songs on the internet, it began collecting a widespread group of fans. Unlike most parody bands, The Midnight Beast hasn't received much backlash from the original artists of the songs parodied. Instead many of the artists like Ke$ha and Jay Sean have retweeted the videos, jokingly claiming they're much better than the originals. The band's evident charm and creativity has kept its audience interested and has allowed the band to headline several festivals throughout the UK.
