Grant Lee Buffalo is an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1991. The band consists of Grant-Lee Phillips (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards), Paul Kimble (bass, guitar, keyboards) and Joey Peters (drums). The band released four studio albums between 1993 and 1996, all of which were critically acclaimed. Their debut album, Fuzzy, was released in 1993 and featured the hit single "Fuzzy". The album was followed by Mighty Joe Moon in 1994, Copperopolis in 1996 and Jubilee in 1996. Grant Lee Buffalo's music is characterized by its melodic, folk-influenced sound, with Phillips' distinctive vocals and thoughtful lyrics. The band has been praised for their ability to combine elements of folk, country, and alternative rock into a unique and powerful sound. Grant Lee Buffalo has been cited as an influence by many artists, including Wilco, The Decemberists, and The National.
