Barefoot Truth was a talented American independent roots rock band hailing from New England. The band consisted of Will Evans, who handled lead vocals, drums, and acoustic guitar; Jay Driscoll on electric guitar, Weissenborn, and acoustic guitar; Andy Wrba on upright bass and electric bass; Garrett Duffy on harmonica; and John "Wayno" Waynelovich on piano and organ. They gained recognition by performing at a pre-debate rally in New York for the Obama presidential campaign. In July 2012, the band initially announced their breakup, but during their final show in Boston in November 2012, they changed their decision to being on hiatus. In subsequent years, Barefoot Truth has periodically reunited, performing at events such as the Summer Sound Festival at Tanglewood, where they play a mix of their original songs and music from Will Evans' solo career. The band continues to regroup for occasional studio and live work, delighting fans with their soulful music.
