Shearwater

Shearwater is an indie rock band from Austin, Texas that was formed in 2001 by Jonathan Meiburg and Will Sheff of the folk rock outfit Okkervil River. On its debut album The Dissolving Room, the band combines indie rock with folk rock and alternative country elements. After releasing a total of five albums between the Misra and Matador labels, Shearwater self-released its seventh album Shearwater Is Enron, an instrumental effort, in 2010. The band was then picked up by Sub Pop records, who released its 2012 album, Animal Joy.
