Fee Waybill is an American singer-songwriter and frontman of the rock band The Tubes. He is best known for his powerful and theatrical stage performances, as well as his unique vocal style. Waybill's career began in the early 1970s when he joined The Tubes, and the band released their debut album The Tubes in 1975. The album featured the hit single "White Punks on Dope," which was a major success and established the band as a major force in the music industry. The Tubes went on to release several more albums, including Young and Rich (1976), Now (1977), and Remote Control (1979). Waybill also released a solo album, Read My Lips, in 1984. His solo work featured a more pop-oriented sound than his work with The Tubes, and the album spawned the hit single "The Way I Feel." Waybill has continued to tour and record with The Tubes, and his powerful and theatrical stage performances remain a highlight of their live shows.
