Floyd Taylor, the son of the renowned singer Johnnie Taylor, is a gifted vocalist and entertainer who emerged as a top-notch performer in his own right. Raised in Chicago, he honed his singing talent in the church choir and performed with various bands, including the Peace Band. In 1976, his father invited him to join as a back-up vocalist, and over the next two decades, he learned from the master showman. After his father's passing in 2000, Floyd Taylor signed with Malaco Records and released albums like Legacy (2002), No Doubt (2005), and You Still Got It (2007), earning acclaim for his soulful style. His career was tragically cut short when he passed away on February 20, 2014.
