Indigenous

Indigenous is a blues-rock trio fronted by Mato Nanji, a guitarist who was born and raised on the Yankton Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. Making a propulsive style of music that's reigned in by impressive instrumental adeptness, with all three members of Indigenous being of Native American ancestry, the group takes pride in its ethnic make up and seeks to express that communal honor through music. The group released its debut, Things We Do, in 1998 and since then the group has kept active, releasing additional material and touring frequently.
