Based in Brooklyn, New Kingston is a four-piece reggae outfit comprised of three Jamaican brothers, Tahir, Courtney and Tahir, as well as their father Courtney Panton Sr., who is affectionately known as Faddah P. Taking the smooth finishes of R&B, jazz and hip-hop into their style, the group released its first In the Streets, in 2010. With each new release, including 2012's Kingston University, New Kingston has managed to expand a surprisingly diverse following by remaining true to the reggae traditions of its home country while also moving with the urban flow of its adopted hometown of New York City.
