Maxi Arland is a singer/songwriter and media personality from Germany who got his start in music with his brother and father, who completed an instrumental trio. A four time finalist of the international Grand Prix of Folk Music competition, he finally took first prize in 2002 with his rendition of "Ich hör Chopin." Arland got his first radio gig with Radio Melodie and went on to host programs for German Radio, Radio Berlin-Bradenburg and the Bararian Radio and became the host of his own Saturday night entertainment show titled Musikantendampfer, which debuted in 2004. In under a decade Arland released seven albums starting with his 2002 debut, Je t'aime - I love you - Ich liebe Dich.
