The Nebraska-based band Somasphere was formed in 2006 after four musicians decided they wanted to form a group that would build electronic songs by incorporating various elements of live instrumentation into prototypical electronic song arrangements. The types of genres that the quartet straddles within its music range from reliable house beats, to forward-thinking electronica and powerful glitch hop--all performed with the added depth that can only come when talented instrumentalists add their own unique humanistic touch. With organic and electronic drumming, rhythmic propulsion is a key factor to the band's hefty sound, but with layers of computer assisted production, melodies help to add some key ingredients to Somasphere's characteristic and intriguing style.
