Sharks Took The Rest is an alternative pop band from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England that was brought together by musicians Beccy Owen and Adam Kent and currently consists of seven band members. Interested more in the blissful complexities of lush chamber pop than the more run-of-the-mill dance-friendly pop filling the airwaves today, Sharks Took The Rest has not only managed to stumble upon a musical formula that works amazingly well, but has been described by publications familiar with the band's work as "sublime bliss." Since releasing its first, self-funded EP "Grounds for Hearts to Swell" in 2011, Sharks Took The Rest seems readier than ever to share its unique brand of feel-good pop music with the whole world.
