Angerville is a Canadian rap outfit that was formed in Toronto in 1998. The group was established as a trio consisting of Ill da Shystee, Conscious Thought and Fortunato, three lyricists of widely different backgrounds who found common ground via a mutual love for hip-hop. The trio spent a few years touring Canada and establishing a credible fan base until 2002, when Luke Marson (aka Ill da Shystee) was killed in what remains an unsolved murder case. Though the rest of Angerville was sent reeling after such a tragic event, eventually the two forged ahead, as motivated as ever to write and perform their street-hardened take on no frills hip-hop.
