Cécile Doo-Kingué is a blues/afro-folk musician from Montreal, Canada by way of New York City who is considered by many to be one of the most talented Canadian blues guitarists performing on the scene today. As the first generation of her family to be born outside their native Cameroon, Doo-Kingué not only profoundly respects her heritage, but ensures that it informs her unique ability as a blues/soul singer and guitarist. Since the release of her critically acclaimed debut release Freedom Calling in 2010, Cécile Doo-Kingué has grown to become one of Canada's musical treasures, with several commissions coming in for the talented folk/blues musician to share her unique sound with the world.
