Milan-born Gianluca Grignani has been in the Italian pop and rock scene since the mid-1990s. Starting with his highly successful 1995 album Destinazione Paradiso, a year later he came out with Fabbrica di Plastica, an experimental rock album which went on to make waves in the Italian pop industry and became a classic. His next album, Campi di Popcorn, continues with the theme of experimentation, but in a different sense: it's an artistic voyage, with his songs taking divergent paths. Throughout the years, he has had a sustained output, producing 10 commercially successful albums, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
