As the drummer and founding member of The Samples, a popular Colorado jam band, Jeep Macnichol was able to explore his rock, jazz and funk influences while repeatedly touring across the US. Now, with his Mr. Anonymous project, he's turned to the worlds of reggae and dancehall music. His goal from the beginning has been to merge the Jamaican style he loves with a guitar-based modern sound, resulting in a fusion that has found fans of several genres of music. While recording, Macnichol aims to keep Mr. Anonymous sessions loose and a bit improvisational, which only adds to the breezy pop and dub influences he injects into his songwriting.
