Yellow Monsters is a pop punk trio from Seoul that describes itself as a much more aggressive rock band than any of its members were used to during their stints with previous bands. However, although the influences the trio draws from to create their unique sound is evident, one finds that Yellow Monsters adds a much harder edge to its sound when compared to the earlier, and by comparison, much softer South Korean indie acts its members were at one time associated with. Having recently released its self-titled EP in 2010, followed up by its first full-length album Riot! in 2010, the many fans of Yellow Monsters have proven that South Korea is now poised and ready to accept the wilder side of indie rock into its musical culture.
