The Mekons is a English punk band that was initially formed as an art collective. Since releasing its debut album, The Quality of Mercy Is Not Strnen, in 1979, The Mekons has diversified its sound with elements of country and folk music. Known for its riotous live shows, the group is regarded as one of the more iconic and longest-running punk bands in existence.
