French singer Melissa NKonda started her music career as a contestant on Nouvelle Star, the French version of American Idol. After being eliminated she went on to win the contest "Je veux signer chez AZ" and was signed to the label. Her debut album Nouveaux Horizons is a blend of pop and soul with an African influence. Singing in both French and English her songs have a global appeal.
