Emerging from the Brooklyn music underground, Sammy Bananas forgoes the cliched production loops that many DJs get trapped in. He takes his remixes straight to the pop music core of strong hooks and melodies that keep his music uptempo, while his use of 1990s R&B hits give his tracks a funky twist. In collaboration with New York-based vocalist Maggie Horn, the duo released "Telephoned," a home run example of a cover song, followed by a self-titled EP in January of 2010. Sammy Bananas has spun records around Europe and Australia, bringing his quirky music to dance floors and house music lovers around the world.
