Ahab

Named after a character in Herman Melville's classic novel Moby Dick, Ahab is a doom metal band that emerged out of Germany in 2004. The band's brand of heavy metal, doom metal with a hint of death metal known as funeral doom metal, was captured on its 2004 demo and maintained throughout its debut album, The Call of the Wretched Sea. Released in 2006, the album sparked Ahab's first extensive tour across Europe. The group dropped its third album in 2012 titled The Giant.
