Matan Zohar, who performs and releases music under his Mat Zo guise, is an English DJ and producer who has been gaining attention in the electronic music world since he first started releasing original productions in the late 2000s. Born to a successful painter father and a professional violinist mother, Zohar was reared in an extremely musical and artistic household - eventually learning how to play the guitar at the age of 8. Going on to form a strong connection to electronic music, Zohar would take up producing and DJing dance music, specializing in progressive house and trance. Gaining prominence after playing night clubs throughout the London metro area, Zohar was eventually championed by prominent acts like Above & Beyond, Lange as well as Daniel Kandi--helping introduce him to a fairly widespread audience.
