The musicians who comprise the internationally distinguished remix collective RAC DJs, banded together in 2007 after noticing a severe lack of intelligent remixes playing in night clubs. To offset this, the Remix Artist Collective was formed to create songs that are built around a characteristic sonic aesthetic that plays with artistic elements and conjures emotions and occasional deep appreciation--a rare feat for most club ready remixes. As the group continues to put their impressionable mark on numerous remixes from bands like Washed Out, Surfer Blood, Phoenix and U2 (to name a select few), the outfit plays shows that showcase the RAC DJs impressive knack for interjecting ingenious song refinement into a remix.
