Seasoned in comedy from his time with Cambridge University's Footlights Dramatic Club, Alex Horne is a comedian from the UK who started to gain popularity throughout England in 2000. After winning a Chortle Award for Best Breakthrough Act in 2004, he traveled the comedy club circuit in London looking to identify a resident of every nationality, eventually managing to find people from 189 of the 192 UN-identified countries. His first book of a two-book deal with Virgin Publishing, Birdwatchingwatching was printed in 2009 and told the story of his 2007 Edinburgh Festival journey.
