40 Below Summer is a nu-metal group from New Jersey that rose to prominence in the early 2000s with the release of its critically acclaimed debut album Invitation to the Dance. The album opened up several opportunities for 40 Below Summer, which then led to the release of its second album The Mourning After. Although the album performed better commercially, it wasn't celebrated by critics as much as the band's first album. By 2005, the band's popularity waned, and the members of 40 Below Summer decided to disband. As of 2011, the band has reformed and looks forward to pick up where it left off with the release of its newest album With Daggers Drawn that same year.
