Brighton-based singer/songwriter Christopher Thorpe-Tracey goes by the name Chris T-T. He got his start in the UK music scene in 1996, when he joined the indie rock band Magoo on bass. The following year, Chris T-T moved to London where he secured a job with Press Association and began playing solo shows. He released his debut album, Beatverse, in 1999 on his own label Wine Cellar Records, and the album earned him press, radio play and eventually a contract with the independent label Snowstorm Records. In the 2000s, Chris T-T's music began to take on sarcastic and sometimes vicious lyrics aimed toward pop culture, and his humor attracted widespread attention and positive reviews for his live shows. Following the success of his 2003 album London Is Sinking, the second installment of a trilogy of records about London, he finally quit his full-time job and dedicated himself to music. In addition to dividing his time between DJing, writing and speaking at conferences, businesses and universities, Chris T-T continues to perform and release his music.
