Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu is a rock band that is strongly influenced by Finnish folk music. The group was formed in 1995, but solid commercial success happened in 2006 with the album Maailma on renki. The band was previously known as “Kuudennusmehet”, but after violinist Johanna Koivu joined the band, it gained more of a folk music sound, and the name was changed.
