What started off as the brainchild of Michael McGinnis is now Plains, a music project with a style that incorporates electronic engineering into punk and rock music. After leaving Chicago for Miami, McGinnis worked endless hours in the studio to produce several albums worth of songs that would eventually narrow down to Plains' first album. Plains self-titled debut was recorded live with reverberating instruments and sleek studio polish, resulting in an album that sounds both like an intimate live show and a stadium concert.
