Turbina is a rock band from Mexico City that rose to fame in 2003 with its single "Abre La Puerta." The single set the stage for the band's 2006 debut album Panamérica, which demonstrates the chaotic soundscapes of psychedelic rock with rock and roll sensibilities. The album earned Turbina the Latin America MTV Award for Best Independent Artist in 2007. Turbina's sound is refined on its 2011 album Leti' Hum Eek' -- Inda Jani -- Mish Masadi, a mature effort that blends the band's American influences with its Latin American identity through a fusion of dubstep, IDM, pop and traditional Mexican music.
