James Zabiela

When electronic beatsmith James Zabiela first started making music in the late '90s, it was the norm to use turntables to compose tunes. As time has worn on, though, and as technology has evolved, most electronic composers are working with computer software programs to orchestrate their futuristic sonnets. Taking heed of the changin' times, Zabiela has incorporated these cutting edge programs into his turntable centric sound and has arrived at a unique sound that pulls heavily from old school sounds but also modern aesthetics.
