Born and raised in on a grape farm in rural New York, Ruth Collins developed an affinity for music at a young age. Channeling her energy into violin and piano during her childhood and teenage years, she was accepted into the Berklee College of Music where she picked up guitar and developed her distinct voice as a songwriter. With a warm, country pop sound, she made her way to Nashville and quickly found a place for herself in the city's burgeoning music community.
