There must be something inherent in the Texas countryside that makes musicians there make country music. The desolate landscape, the sprawling hills, the Old West vibe must all combine and manifest into the style of music that people refer to as country. The San Antonio based outfit, Emory Quinn, must hear this calling when it lays down tracks because all the group's songs sound characteristic of the state the band calls home. The group has a unique bar-band quality, though, and a good majority of its songs sound like they are ideal listening material for a saloon in the Lone Star State.
