Gerald Cleaver is a jazz drummer from Detroit who has defined himself as one of the more talented percussionists of his generation. Having performed and acted as sideman for a number of jazz greats including Lotte Anker, Jemeel Moondoc and Rob Brown, Cleaver is more than capable of holding down the rhythm section of a jazz outfit. In addition to acting as a prominent collaborator, Cleaver has served as a jazz professor at the University of Michigan and released a number of albums as band leader, beginning in 2000 with the LP Adjust.
