The Flexican, whose real name is Thomás Goethals, is a Mexico-born Dutch DJ of electronic music and hip-hop. Growing up in Mexico, The Flexican developed a palette for Latin and rock. However, as soon as he moved to the Netherlands, he found himself fascinated by hip-hop and electronic music. Together with childhood friend Yousef Gnaoui, also known as rapper Sef, he founded the hip-hop formation Flinke Namen in 2004. The duo became massively successful with its 2009 album Superstuntwerk, which earned several critical awards. Individually, the DJ won awards for his innovative mixes of hip-hop and house music. Next to the creation of music, The Flexican established entertainment brands Yours Truly and The Flexican Society, under which he hosts exclusive club nights, parties and festivals that feature his legendary multiple-hour sets. In 2014, he saw another international hit with the release of "Watch Out For This (Bumaye)."
