Tom Rainey is a jazz drummer from Santa Barbara, California who has served as a backing drummer for a number of notable jazz musicians before striking out on his on as a leader with his debut album, Pool School, in 2010. Having studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Rainey has distinguished himself with an adept style that pulls heavily from avant-garde sensibilities. Frequently touring as the Tom Rainey Trio, Rainey pulls some of the best musicians from the jazz world to help propel and push his ever evolving sound.
