Grinderman

Australian born indie rock singer/songwriter Nick Cave is a one man musical hurricane who is capable of unleashing an amalgamation of sonic fury on listeners. While his musical powers are impressive, he is not a skilled guitar player. This is why when he picked up a guitar one day and started writing songs, the material he created sounded extremely unrefined, yet pertinent and easily accessible. After Cave showed some of these pensive tunes off, people were impressed and pushed the Aussie to write more of these tunes. Cave soon amassed a backing band (comprised of the musicians that play in his group The Bad Seeds) dubbing the outfit Grinderman and eventually recording an album of material. The group has since toured the world and released a subsequent LP of fairly agitated but somehow approachable rock music.
