Paris-based electronic producer Onra makes music that consistently evolves with time. He's not into getting pigeonholed into any one genre and if folks listen to his albums with an adept ear, they'll clearly see evidence of this. He has received a good amount of comparisons to the late great J Dilla, but these comparisons are slightly unwarranted because even though Onra might make one track that's no doubt influenced by Dilla, Onra's other songs could be looked at as the antithesis of what most people would expect out of Dilla. Primarily making a unique form of heavy-hitting electronica, that's oftentimes perfectly fit for hip-hop vocals, Onra has been turning heads on the European electro front since 2004 and as his prominence continues to grow, there's no doubt that he'll make a reputation for himself as one of the more talented French producers of the 21st century.
