New York City's indie blues rock outfit Automatic Children creates a guitar-driven blend of rock and pop music. After releasing its 2007 debut EP It's Not Me, It's You, the band spent the next few years exciting its fan base and released its full-length album, New Is Beautiful in 2010. Despite the blurry boundaries of the pop/rock genre, Automatic Children doesn't just employ catchy hooks and upbeat riffs, but it offers a lean brand of indie rock that echoes the early 1990s likability of unpretentious rock.
