Formed in 2007 as The Rust, Throwing Gravity is a hard rock band from Nashville that combines rock and alternative metal. After releasing its debut album Anticipation, in 2009, the band embarked on a tour across the US and part of Canada, collecting fans along the way with its post grunge sound. While in Los Angeles, Throwing Gravity captured the attention of music industry figurehead Jason Flom who signed the band to his newly formed label and Universal subsidiary, Lava Records. A year later, however, the band was dropped from its contract and its first studio album shelved by the label. Throwing Gravity rebounded quickly, writing and recording new material before finally releasing an new album, fittingly titled It's Not The End.
