The soothing voice behind 'Pi's Lullaby', the 2013 Oscar winning song of Ang Lee's Life of Pi, belongs to Bombay Jayashri. Born as Jayashri Ramnath, she added finesse to her gifted talent under the guidance of the eminent Carnatic musician, Lalgudi Jayaraman Iyer. For over 20 years, Jayashri has ruled the Indian classical music industry and has achieved the outstanding feat of being the first Carnatic artist to perform at Russian Opera House and Durban Opera House. For someone who has won numerous awards and fan following in the music arena, Bombay Jayashri keeps herself grounded by engaging in music therapy at various health institutes.
